The Governor’s May Revision to his January Budget proposal will be a crucial event for school budgeting and LCAP development. Once the Governor issues his May Revision, the Legislature has only 30 days to send a final budget to the Governor for his consideration, or Legislators risk losing pay for each day they are late. Our team will explore the fiscal and political implications of the changes proposed in the Governor’s May Revision – and provide advice regarding the Legislature’s likely response and how a final budget deal might come together.
